Wow! The good people at WordPress are amazing! stoopad.com is now running WordPress 2.7 and we couldn’t be happier! Again, upgrading was painless due to the Upgrade tool. Good work, WordPress!

Site Upgrade: WordPress 2.7 RC2

I was pretty content downloading the nightly WordPress build every other day or so. However, stoopad.com is now on 2.7 RC2 and I’m probably going to leave it there until the final 2.7 release. Very solid, I love it. The upgrade tool, by the way, is fantastic, I couldn’t be happier with the one-button-upgrade process. [...]

Site Upgrade: Wordpress 2.7 RC1

The upgrade to WordPress 2.7 Release Candidate 1 took all of five minutes and was (mostly) painless. We use the WordPress plugin for memcached which caused some funky behavior during the upgrade process, but this was easily fixed by temporarily disabling the cache, performing the upgrade and then once more enabling the cache.
