That last couple of months have been frantic. Difficult. The cut work hours (ah, contractor life), the radical move across the country, the money struggles, the court hearing, the catastrophic computer failure, the new job, the late rent and the…

Wait.

What? I haven’t mentioned any of this?

Oh that’s right, because it’s DEPRESSING. Instead, let’s focus on the positive!

The new job is amazing. It takes up a boatload of my time, but that’s okay, I enjoy it. And I get to work with some fun technologies, like Silverlight and Expression Blend. Oh, and I write a lot of VBA code, too. That part isn’t so fun… That’s a lie, it HAS been fun as I’ve been able to dig back to an earlier time and pull out all of that arcane VB6 knowledge that’s been nestled deep in the back of my brain… and put it to good use.

The relocation to the Pacific Northwest was the perfect move. The move itself wasn’t so perfect (the drive alone deserves its own post… yuck!), but the decision to move to Oregon was perfect. So far, everything has fallen into place.

That being said, I hope to have some more time ahead of me to write. I miss writing and drawing and updating this site, and I certainly haven’t abandoned it.

Check back soon for some fresh updates :)
